Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich suffer third straight defeat
Bochum shock Bayern with 3-2 win
Champions Bayern Munich crashed to a 3-2 loss at VfL Bochum on Sunday for a third straight defeat in all competitions that saw them drop eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
The Bavarians, who had won their previous 10 league games, were stunned by a Bochum side that had lost their last three matches.
Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern the lead in the ninth minute, but Bochum hit back with goals from Gerrit Holtmann, Simon Zoller, and Christopher Antwi-Adjei.
Thomas Müller pulled a goal back for Bayern in the 82nd minute, but it was not enough to prevent them from suffering their first defeat in the Bundesliga since November.
The result leaves Bayern eight points behind Leverkusen, who beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 on Saturday.
